My "Must Have" Boot List - Winter 2018

This Life I Styled | Must-Have Boots Winter 2018

I am one of those weird people that actually loves winter. I love snow. I enjoy, a fresh, cold day. And I really, REALLY love winter fashion. Blanket scarves are cozy and so functional! Sweaters are made for all body types!! And boots… how I love what boots can do for an outfit! I’ve put together a list of some of my favorites that I’m seeing this year. Winter 2018 is certainly offering it’s fair share of boot trends, but the basics are important too! In this list, there’s something for everyone, but if you need a different option for one of the styles below, leave a comment and I’ll be happy to lead you to an option that suits your needs.

Let’s get started!

1 Over the knee, black boots. They’re a MUST for sure! Over the knee boots continue to be on trend and Vince Camuto does a phenomenal job mixing comfort and trend at a reasonable price point. Vince Camuto OTK Boots.

2. Knee-High Heeled neutral boots. These are so classic. I love the block heel because it’s far more manageable than a stiletto at this time of year. The color is perfect!! These boots will go with just about everything in any woman’s closet. And! As an added bonus, they’re on a killer sale. Sam Edelman Knee-High Boots.

3. You can’t go wrong with a good duck boot. Sperry makes a great, durable shoe. In addition, they make a really good looking duck boot. When it’s wet and cold, it can be challenging to find something that still looks polished, but these boots nail it. These are an excellent go-to for your closet this winter. Sperry Waterproof Rain Boots.

4. The shearling, lace up boot is EVERYWHERE right now. You can find them from pretty much every retailer and at every price point. I love Marc Fisher. Every shoe I’ve ever bought from this label has lasted forever and while it follows the trend, I always feel like it’s done in a way that is also timeless. I think these are a fantastic option to add to your closet if you’re an “always on trend” kind of gal. Marc Fisher Shearling Lace-Up Boot.

5. I’m not sure these need an explanation. Everyone needs a basic pair of rain boots and Hunter does it right. Hunter Waterproof Rainboots.

6. If you live in snow…. These boots knock it out of the park. I’ve had my Sorel Arctic snow boots for YEARS now and they are still in excellent condition. They will feel a bit like an investment piece due to the amount that you’ll spend on a seasonal shoe, but I can verify that they will likely last you a lifetime. Sorel Waterproof Snow Boot.

7. A good pair of black booties is a basic you shouldn’t go with out. I like these Steven Maddens because the price point is reasonable, and they have the subtle look of the “sock bootie” trend that’s really having a moment right now, but still classic enough to wear for the next several years. Steve Madden Pointed Toe Bootie.

8. White booties AND sock booties are definitely having their day in the sun and I LOVE these! I think they have great lines and a unique heel. I know white could be kind of shocking for the winter, but I assure you, you’ll find way more to wear these with than you’d initially think! If you want to make a splash this season, these are the booties to do just that! Topshop Mission Bootie.
